State’s future economic success lies in workforce development

[EDMONDSUN] This session of the Legislature has come to a close. There are some reforms for public education and consolidation of government agencies to find efficiencies. While these steps are in the right direction the acts can only be a beginning to developing a better government, complete reform of a broken public education system and implementing a cohesive plan to build a strategy for future economic growth. Looking too deep within Oklahoma’s needs we can lose perspective by not looking beyond the horizon. As Peter Drucker coached, “look out the window.” What is happening in a global market and economic development actions by our neighboring states should cue us to the road map we need to actively and competitively compete for future jobs and businesses...More
